Common questions

Chipps needs Windows 10 or 11 and about 200 MB of free space. If the app doesn’t open, restart your PC and try again. Still nothing? Send us the install log from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chipps\logs\ using the contact form below and we’ll take a look.

Chipps checks for a newer version every time it launches. When one is available, the A new version is available! button appears in the app — click it, then click Update Now in the popup to install the update.

Only what you approve. Every action shows a card with what Chipps will read, what it will change, the risk level, and whether it can be undone. Nothing runs without your explicit approval — even for tasks you’ve approved before.

No file content leaves your PC unless an action explicitly requires it (for example, sending a draft email through your email account). When that happens, the approval card lists exactly what data will leave your machine and where it will go.

Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Chipps in the list, and click Uninstall. That’s it.
